If you are an authorized Ontario health care provider with access to one of the provincial viewers (ClinicalConnect™, ConnectingOntario ClinicalViewer and eHealth Portal) or an electronic medical record system (with OLIS to EMR) or Hospital Information System (with OLIS integration), you can access novel coronavirus (COVID-19) lab test results stored in Ontario Laboratories Information System (OLIS) in near real-time.
While building a patient health information system in an ongoing effort, the system is working today. Thousands of health care providers are connected and can quickly access results of lab tests and diagnostic imaging exams, check a database to ensure their patient won’t have an allergic reaction, more easily transition patients to other care providers in the community, and consult specialists remotely.View the Progress Report
