ONE Mail Partnered offers a suite of email services and features. It is designed specifically to allow Ontario’s health care professionals to share personal health information.

ONE Mail Direct is a comprehensive email product developed by eHealth Ontario and hosted in our highly secure environment, which is available for eligible health care organizations requiring email accounts.

• Email transmitted across a managed private network enables participating users to exchange personal health information.
• Features built-in anti-virus and anti-spam filters.
• Email communications are automatically encrypted while traversing the eHealth Ontario Network.
• Reliable, scalable, highly available service. eHealth Ontario provides policies and processes to ensure only authorized people can access ONE Mail.
• Every contact appearing in ONE Pages has been registered through ONE ID, giving health care providers the assurance that contacts are who they say they are.

ONE Pages is the searchable directory of ONE Mail users.
It allows registered user to:

• Search for individuals and groups of health care professionals based on name, department and/or organization
• Send email with confidence that it is secure enough to use for patient information and will reliably go to the intended recipient

ONE Mail and ONE Pages Security Features

In addition to the safeguards which apply to all eHealth Ontario products and services,
ONE Mail has the following additional safeguards:

• All users must abide by an Acceptable Use Policy
• We  provide security awareness and training materials to ONE Mail Partnered and ONE Mail Direct users
• All email exchanged between ONE Mail users is automatically encrypted in transit by eHealth Ontario
• We employ comprehensive anti-spam and anti-virus controls
• We do not delete or drop ONE Mail messages except in rare situations where the security or functionality of the ONE Mail service is threatened (e.g. if a virus cannot be removed from a message). If an email is deleted, the sender will be notified
