Moving Forward on ConnectingGTA — Request for Proposals Released
ConnectingGTA is a partner project between eHealth Ontario, the University Health Network, Canada Health Infoway and the five Greater Toronto Area Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs). Its goal is to integrate electronic patient information from across the care continuum and make it available at the point-of-care to improve the patient and clinician experience.
ConnectingGTA’s Steering Committee and supporting Working Groups exemplify the collaboration needed across the health care sector to achieve benefits for patients, clinicians and the system at large.
After issuing an advance notice about the upcoming RFP two weeks ago, the ConnectingGTA project issued the ConnectingGTA Back-End RFP late last week via MERX. The Project is a major clinical integration initiative funded by the Province of Ontario through eHealth Ontario, and Canada Health Infoway.
This RFP will procure key technical components, including the Clinical Data Repository and Health Information Access Layer. Once procured, these components will set the foundation for the ConnectingGTA solution and will provide the ability to collect and exchange patient health information across the GTA.
The University Health Network (UHN) is the issuer of this RFP. All questions and inquiries about this RFP must be submitted to the Bid Administrator, Roshni Patel at ConnectingGTAProcurement@uhn.on.ca, in writing (email is preferred). Contacting UHN staff (or affiliated contractors) other than the Bid Administrator or eHealth Ontario staff (or affiliated contractors) regarding this RFP is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
This RFP and any related addenda are available only through MERX(tm), the electronic tendering system, at wwww.merx.com or 1-800-964-MERX.
